While Val was in town, we caught the NMSU Rodeo competing at the Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds. Chaps, boots and cowboy hats were not in short supply, and neither was the nail biting entertainment. The timed barrel racing and calf tying events kept us hootin' and hollerin' and on the edge of our seats. Not to mention, the buckin' bulls and broncos were as restless and forcible as ever. After the rodeo finished, we stopped by Emerson Drive's live outdoor concert, which was a befitting close to a very countrified affair.
