Heavenly Hot Springs

Who: Weary travelers making a journey through the great southwest and nearby residents, including Kyle and myself

What: Riverbend Hot Springs featuring private and public mineral baths overlooking the scenic Rio Grande River and Turtleback Mountain

When: Visitors bathe year round, but I recommend going during the winter for relief from the springs' steaming temperature

Where: Nestled away 70 miles north of Las Cruces in the deserted ghost town called Truth or Consequences, formerly named Hot Springs, New Mexico

How: Natural underground hot springs in the town are fed into outdoor Jacuzzis that reach up to 107 degrees

Why: For relaxation, rest and rejuvenation
