It turned out that Kyle's gardening project was really a carpentry endeavor in disguise. I got bamboozled! The minute Kyle had purchased and planted his tomato plant, he enthusiastically, and quite persuasively, insisted on building a perching bench for his Early Girl. I finally agreed, but was disappointed when he grossly underestimated the Lowe's bill. On the up side, the bench turned out beautifully, and whatever was lost financially, was more than made up for in manly-power tool-I just built something with my bare hands-Tim Allen grunt entertainment for Kyle.
